Brean Murray, Carret & Co. to Host Small Cap Institutional Investor Conference in New York on January 31st and February 1, 2006

Brean Murray, Carret & Co. today announced that it will hold its 2006 Small Cap Investor Conference in midtown Manhattan on Tuesday, January 31 and Wednesday, February 1. 115 companies are scheduled to present via concurrent sector-specific tracks over the two day period. Consumer Products and Retailing and Financial Services sectors will present on January 31, Healthcare and Biotechnology and Technology sectors on February 1.

The feature luncheon speaker on Tuesday, January 31st will be Terry McAuliffe, Democratic National Committee Chairman from 2001-2005. Mr. McAuliffe, who led an unprecedented effort to revitalize and modernize the Democratic Party, will be speaking about the current political debate in Washington, DC and its impact on Wall Street and the status of potential further hedge fund regulation.

The conference will be held at The Grand Hyatt New York, located on Park Avenue at Grand Central Station.
