NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brean Murray, Carret & Co. is pleased to announce that Peter H.Jacobson has joined the Research Department as Senior Vice President and Senior Analyst. As partof the firm's technology vertical, Mr. Jacobson will cover communications software and IT services companies. He will be based in the firm's New York office.

Mr. Jacobson brings substantial research and extensive industry experience to Brean Murray, Carret. For nine years, Mr. Jacobson provided value-added research as vice president and research analyst at Kaufman Bros., L.P. Previously, Mr. Jacobson had a distinguished 20-year tenure at IBM Corporation in various sales, sales management, and financial planning and management positions. Mr. Jacobson earned numerous performance awards during his career at IBM.
