Brean Murray, Carret & Co. Named Most Productive Brokers 2009 by The Financial Times and StarMine

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brean Murray, Carret & Co. took home the #1 Most Productive Brokers of 2009 Award last evening at the 2009 FT/StarMine Analyst Awards. At the gala, the top-performing stock pickers and earnings estimators in the United States were recognized.
In addition to BMC being ranked #1 on the Most Productive Broker’s list, four BMC Research Analysts took home individual awards as well. Ryan Worst, CFA, who covers the Gaming industry for BMC, was ranked #3 in the Top Earnings Estimators category for the Hotels & Leisure industry. In the Stock Pickers category, Jonathan Aschoff, Ph.D. and Daniel Fidell were ranked #2 for Biotechnology and Gas Utilities, respectively. Michael Gaugler, who covers the water technology, purification, and utility sectors for BMC was ranked #3 in Machinery.
